St Kieran's Community Centre

Recently, we lodged our Applications for Funding of the restoration work and so far so good.
We pray that we will be successful in this endeavour.

The following are exerts from letters of recommendation we have received
and which have been submitted in support of the funding applications:-

The National Trust of Australia (WA)

“I write in support of the application by St Kieran's Church in Tuart Hill for the funding of its restoration and conservation programme for the original parish church. The church, built in 1914, is of immense historical and heritage value to the community and has not just been used as a place of worship, but also as an integral meeting place for many generations of parishioners and the wider community as a whole.
The major conservation works for this building include particularly the roof, as well as other parts of the building which need immediate attention. The significance of this original building has not been lost on the St Kieran's Parish Community and every effort will be made to ensure that it remains an important ICON and a reminder of the cultural heritage and history associated with the area.
In supporting the application, I ask.....to give it due consideration, in the knowledge that the funding will ensure that the conservation and heritage values of this important place will be there for many more generations to appreciate, value and enjoy.

Yours sincerely,Enzo Sirna, Manager, National Trust of Australia (WA)”

City of Stirling

“I am writing to give my support to the application by St Kieran's Church in Tuart Hill for funding for the restoration of the Parish Centre.
The first church was built in 1914 and formed a focal point for the local community having not only regular church services held there but also it provided a meeting place for the mainly rural community at that time. This tradition has continued over the years and the building remains today an important place for the Catholic and wider community.
St Kieran's community is very hard working and I know they make every effort to raise money, not only for this project, but also to meet other financial commitments within the community.
I have no hesitation in giving this application my full support and ask that it is favourably considered. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,Cr Tony Vallelonga JP, Mayor”

“I am writing in support to the application by St Kieran's Church in Tuart Hill for funding for the restoration of the Parish Centre.
St Kieran’s has been a focal point for the community for many years and the original building is a well known landmark for the area.
St Kieran's serves a wide community which is very supportive of the Church and they endeavour to raise funds on a continuing basis not only for a project of this nature but also for other programs and services which benefit the people.
I have no hesitation in giving this application my full support and ask that it is favourably considered.

Yours sincerely,Cr Adam Spagnollo JP Osborne Ward”

Bob Kucera APM MLA Member for Yokine

“I wish to support the St Kieran's Community Centre in their application for funding to restore and maintain their original parish church.
This historic building which dates back to 1914 has been a vital part of the local community serving not only as a school and a place of worship, but as a meeting place for generations of local residents. The building now requires conservation work on its roof and other parts of the building to ensure that it remains a historical focal point of the area.
This building is of great significance to the local region and as such, I have no hesitation in conveying my strong support for the project, and for their application in funding.

Yours sincerely,Bob Kucera”
